In 1995, The Historical Society of West Windsor was given an early farmhouse and surrounding acreage as a site to interpret an early New Jersey farm. Over the course of twenty years the New Jersey Barn Company has been involved with the restoration of multiple buildings which accompany the house, including an early Dutch-English Hybrid Barn, a one room school house and, a new timber frame replica of a wagon house.
Because both the barn and the school house required extensive repairs, they were dismantled and then reassembled. The barn now houses a collection of farm implements and artifacts including several early tractors. Surrounded, for the most part, by subdivisions and a modern school, the farm is a reminder of a way of life, and a way of building, that has been largely lost.
